DreamMakers & RiskTakers 2026 Nomination Form 

Now in its 16th year, Innovation Tri-Valley's Annual DreamMakers & Risktakers Awards brings together the regional innovation ecosystem with the young innovators influencing the future of the Tri-Valley and beyond. Help us find the students from Tri-Valley public school districts and Las Positas College who are innovating the future as they fearlessly pursue their dreams!

General Selection Criteria and Program

The student recipients of the annual DreamMakers and RiskTakers Awards are selected by the ITV Education and Workforce Development Committee with final approval from the President or Superintendent of each host educational organization based on common criteria. 

Characteristics of DreamMakers and RiskTakers:

They have accomplished something important and made an impact with a focus on Tech Innovation for Good:

Technical Innovations, Inventions, Social Innovations, Artistic Creations or Accomplishments

They have grit – maybe they are not an A student, but perhaps they have demonstrated resilience, courage, passion, creativity and/or innovation. 

Students of all abilities, race, color, national origin, age, gender, sexual preference and socio-economic status will be considered equally.

SUBMISSION PROCESS FOR 2026 - Self Nomination Portal

Nominations can be made by individuals nominating themselves or educators/mentors/parents/administrators nominating students. The Innovation Tri-Valley Selection Committee will review submissions and will present finalists to Superintendents, Principals and Administrators of appropriate school district for final selection and approval.

**Nominated Students must be in good standing with their School District or Community College.**

Nominations for the 2026 Awards must be submitted through the ITV Website by September 25, 2026.  

The 2026 DreamMakers and RiskTakers will be notified the week of October 5.

Student’s Submission of photographs, with appropriate waivers, due to ITV by October 30th for use in advance event publicity and event program.  Send your information to Tanderson@innovationtrivalley.org
