Survivors of domestic and sexual violence, anti-violence victim advocates, immigrant rights and racial justice organizations, and many others support the call to Free Aylaliya "Liyah" Birru. Liyah and all survivors of violence should be loved and supported. All survivors regardless of their race, gender, and immigration status should have their well-being should be prioritized, and they should be given the crucial resources that they need to recover. We endorse the call to free Liyah Birru from immigration jail, and urge California Governor Newsom to pardon her to stop her deportation. We support her safety and well-being as she is reunited with her family, loved ones, and community.
