Neighbourwoods relies on our volunteers. If you are interested in learning more about joining out team, please fill out this form and indicate what you would like to help with.
Come out with Neighbourwoods and help grow our urban forest. A great way to get some fresh air, meet new people and help our environment.
Tentative dates - May 4 in Elora & May 11 in Fergus.
You’ve seen cheery volunteers in their yellow T shirts for 10 years now. A great way to learn about trees, work with really nice folks and help add the knowledge about the trees in our community.
Training will be provided, learning tree ID, DBH, and how to assess the health of a tree. Two hours/week for 8 weeks – June and July. If you can’t be there every week, we have volunteers who can sub in.
Tree Seed Collectors
Spring, summer and fall, collect a variety of seeds from our local trees to be planted at Green Legacy and then, return to Centre Wellington as saplings!
Talk about local tree stock!
Training will be provided. Learn about seed forecasting, tree ID and more!
Join the Neighbourwoods crew to help mulch, prune and tend to some of our young trees in our community.
Two evenings over the summer.
