Apart from this Form, applicants must also submit a: I. MOTIVATION LETTER referring to the position they are applying for and reasons for choice, a brief outline of past MUN experience, as well as the skills and attributes they possess that will contribute to the organization of the conference. The Motivation Letter should not exceed 1,000 words.II. LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION from their MUN Advisor. In case of multiple applicants from the same school, it is imperative that the Advisor rank them.III. STUDY GUIDE they have written for a previous MUN conference. If they have no chairing experience, this step can be omitted.
All the aforementioned documents should be sent by your MUN Advisor together with all the respective documents of all other applicants from your scool in one e-mail to the e-mail address of the CGSMUN Secretariat: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please bear in mind the following important information:
- All applicants living in Athens will be interviewed in person, while applicants outside Athens via Skype. Interviews will take place on Saturday 11th May, 2019. Applicants who have already served as Student Officers in the CGSMUN, do NOT need to repeat the interview process.
- All applicants accepted as Students Officers are required to prepare one original study guide of approx. 2,500-4,000 words throughout June and hand it by the end of the month. The Secretariat may request further changes during July and/or August, and Student Officers are expected to be available and on time.
- In addition, successful applicants are to attend a mandatory workshop on Thursday 5th December 2019 (one day prior to the conference). Students living in Athens are expected to attend two more workshops before the final workshop (typically in November).
- By submitting this application, applicants agree and adhere to meeting the 3 abovementioned points. Failure to meet these obligations may result in removal from the position, even if the applicant has been selected.
