Youth Resident Leadership Academy Application
The spring Youth Resident Leadership Academy will take place January-April 2018. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT IS DECEMBER 22, 2017. You will be contacted in early January 2018 regarding your acceptance. The program starts the week of January 22nd and will be held twice per week for 1.5 hours after school. More details to come upon your acceptance.
ABOUT THE RESIDENT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
The Resident Leadership Academy is a curriculum created by Arboreta Group LLC and Community Health Improvement Partners (CHIP) with support from the Live Well San Diego Initiative to promote healthy environments. The program will train you to make positive changes in your neighborhood. The program will also teach you about food systems, urban design, policy development, leadership, and character development. At the end of the program, you will have the opportunity to create, plan, and implement a community service project. This program is supported and facilitated by Bayside Community Center and the Travis Manion Foundation. Both organizations serve the neighborhood of Linda Vista.

Youth have a powerful voice to bring to our community. You have a unique perspective on how you experience living and/or going to school in Linda Vista that needs to be shared! This program has the potential to enrich your personal development, your college and career applications, and the people around you.
