Individual Speech Push-In Session (30 minutes/week)
A licensed speech-language pathologist will provide a 30-minute therapy session during your child’s LLC day by joining them in the classroom. Therapy is embedded within natural play, learning, and peer interactions to help children practice using their communication skills in meaningful, real-life settings. Push-In sessions take place during one of the group classes your child is already enrolled in during Little Learners Club. The therapist and Play And Talk With Us staff will collaborate to determine the most appropriate class or portion of the day for your child’s therapy session.
Examples of skills that may be addressed include:
- Following directions with language concepts (colors, shapes, size, location, quantity)
- Expanding vocabulary and using longer sentences
- Answering questions
- Asking questions
- Using self-advocacy phrases
- Carryover of speech clarity to group setting
- Social communication with peers
- AAC use (when appropriate)
Individual Speech Private Session (30 minutes/week)
Families may schedule individual 30-minute speech therapy sessions each week with a licensed speech-language pathologist. Sessions may be scheduled before your child’s LLC day, after classes, or during the LLC program day, based on therapist availability and your child’s schedule.
Individual sessions provide one-on-one, personalized therapy tailored to your child's unique communication needs and goals. Therapy would focus on teaching new skills in a structured environment.
Examples of skills that may be addressed include:
- speech sound production
- receptive and/or expressive language development
- social communication
- play skills
- AAC use (when appropriate)
