SciREN Lesson Planning Workshop & Networking Event 2020
You’re Invited to join SciREN's Lesson Planning Workshop on Monday, January 6th from 5:30-7:00pm in the Coverdell Auditorium S175. Learn how to translate your research into K-12 STEM Lesson Plans for Georgia Educators. Learn about Georgia Standards of Excellence and participate in a Q&A with a panel of local educators. Dinner will be provided.
All researchers are invited to a Lesson Planning Work Session on January 14th from 4pm-6pm in the Science Learning Center. Join fellow researchers in brainstorming and receive feedback on your lesson plan.
Researchers are invited to join the 5th Annual SciREN Georgia Networking Event on Saturday, January 25th 11:00 am - 2:00pm at the Georgia Botanical Gardens! We suggest that researchers attend either the Lesson Planning Workshop or the Lesson Planning Work Session prior to attending the Networking Event.
At the SciREN Georgia Networking Event, researchers provide educators with K-12 classroom ready lesson plans, which are based on their current work and adhere to state and national educational standards. Additionally, SciREN gives researchers and educators opportunities to arrange classroom visits and to collaborate on curriculum development. Lunch will be provided.
SciREN Georgia is sponsored by The Glenn Lab, UGA Graduate School, UGA Department of Environmental Health Sciences, ECOGIG, Georgia Sea Grant, and UGA College of Public Health.
