Social Impact Festival 2019 'The Good Market' Stall Application
The Good Market is an annual event which occurs as part of The Social Impact Festival at the University of Western Australia and functions to amplify ‘good’ initiatives that create positive environmental and social impact.

In its third year, The Good Market has a strong customer base with high sales recorded amongst all stall holders. As feedback from a previous vendor explains:

"It was so great to be part of the Social Impact Festival in 2016. Not only did we sell twice as much as we usually do at market stalls, but we also made some great contacts including building a relationship with a new stockist.”

THE GOOD MARKET PURPOSE:

To connect Perth's conscious consumer to a community of ethical sustainable retailers, producers and service providers.

WHAT IS A ‘GOOD’ MARKET STALL?

A vendor that offers one or more of the following:
• It sells 'Good' products and services. E.g. what you offer creates positive and social and environmental impact
• It uses 'Good' process. E.g how you operate creates positive and social and environmental impact
• It invests its profits in 'Good' causes E.g. the profit is used to create positive and social and environmental impact

The Good Market aims to create positive environmental impact by banning the use of single use plastics at the event and only using compostable materials. The use of compostable cutlery, crockery and cups by all food & beverage vendors is compulsory. We would also stress that no plastic bags are to be used at the market and only paper straws are to be used by vendors.

The Good Market will also host a panel of engaging speakers to discuss ‘good’ practices in fashion, retail and food production. Additionally, throughout the day a curated line-up of local musicians will be performing alongside free eco activities for children.
