*We are looking for outgoing, energetic people who are passionate about sharing the board game hobby to volunteer for SaltCON!
We need a few volunteers this year for the SaltCON End of Summer event! We are still putting together the volunteer schedule, but right now we only plan to have volunteers in the Game Library, Registration, Play to Win, Game Swap and RPG Hall.
Read about the various spots below, so that you will know what you want to volunteer for:
GAME LIBRARY: Put your board game knowledge to use! Help check games in and out of the game library. Keep the shelves organized, and help players find just the right game for their group! Offer suggestions, and make sure everyone finds what they want to play.
REGISTRATION: Greet attendees as they arrive at the convention, give them directions, and answer any questions they have. Help them to get their badges and swag, and find the best parts of the convention!
PLAY TO WIN: Check games in and out, so that players have a chance to learn the games. Enter attendees to win the games they have played.
GAME SWAP: Keep the Game Swap organized, inform attendees and participants of the rules. Keep games on the shelves, keep the aisles clear.
RPG HALL: Help players find a game that they would like to join and tell them what RPGs are all about!
The volunteer schedule signup will go out as soon as it's available.
New Volunteers are asked to attend a volunteer web training time to be determined.
There are 2 levels of volunteers:
- V6 volunteers will have access to a free full convention badge for doing at least 6 hours during the convention.
- V12 volunteers will have access to two free full convention badges and a convention t-shirt for doing 12 or more hours during the convention.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, and able to follow instructions and work independently.Volunteers who have volunteered before will be given preference for shift assignments. We may get more volunteer applications than we have shifts, so it might be that not all volunteer applicants will be able to help out.
The length of one shift is generally 2 hours. Signing up for 2 hours per day is an optimal way to fulfill a V6 Shift. It is not recommended to sign up for more than 4 hours in a row.
Volunteers will be required to wear their Volunteer vest during all of their volunteer shifts.
Volunteers will be Independent Contractors and required to sign a volunteer agreement at the end of this form.
We will be handling volunteer shift selection similar to previous, where volunteers will select their own shifts, with previous volunteers getting priority.
