The Wisconsin Civic Learning Coalition aims to support teachers and schools across the state in helping their students learn about elections and voting, and getting students registered and ready to vote in their first election. Many of our member organizations are heavily engaged in this work across the state, including he League of Women Voters, and the Civics Center.
We already do this! We're gathering information on schools that already are helping students register to vote when they are eligible, or who want to commit this in the future. Please fill out the form below to help us gather information about your existing, efforts, plans, and needs. Also, check out our
toolkit for additional ideas and resources.
We want to do this! Take the pledge and launch your efforts to prepare the next generation of voters. The WCLC has a
toolkit, and we're happy to work with you to provide additional guidance, resources, and connections as needed.
Take the Pledge:
We commit to supporting young voters by:
- providing information about the processing of registering and voting;
- supporting students in getting the necessary documents to register;
- facilitating registration through a school-based drive;
- helping them understand the issues and races that are on the ballot for each upcoming election;
- getting students ready and motivated to become lifelong voters.
