The Washington DC/Metro Alumni Chapter of Winston Salem State University (WSSU) is currently accepting applications for 2022-2023 scholarships. Washington, DC/Metro Chapter was founded in the late 1940’s to promote and support individuals in their pursuit of higher education at Winston Salem State University. Every year, since the founding of the organization, scholarships have been awarded to outstanding students with the goal of having students return to support the many efforts of the Washington, DC/Metro Chapter. For this year four academic awards in the amount of $1500 dollars each ($750.00 each semester if the candidate qualifies) will be awarded.  

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must have graduated from a Washington, DC Metropolitan Area Public High School
2. Must be a Freshman by the Fall 2022
3. Must have a GPA of 2.7 higher
4. Must have been accepted to attend Winston Salem State University


NECESSARY DOCUMENTS
1. Scholarship Application Form
2. Current Resume/ Curriculum Vitae
3. Most recent transcript
4. Two letters of recommendation, addressed to Washington, DC/Metro Alumni Chapter. One letter must be written by an official within your school (e.g.: Academic Adviser, Social Worker, Teacher, Principal, etc.)
5. Proof of acceptance to WSSU

DEADLINE AND SUBMISSION
