Rainproof NYC brings together individuals and organizations with professional and/or lived experience with heavy rainfall to help support NYC’s initiatives and simultaneously create benefits for its residents.
To ensure the working groups have a deep understanding of all the work that has been done to date, we are building a Rainproof library. We are compiling existing resources and recommendations for the working groups to review.
If you know of resources concerning managing rain please send us resources or recommendations by adding a link to this Google Form.
Topics may include: equity, flooding caused by heavy rainfall, ecology restoration, green infrastructure, green gentrification, community preparedness, emergency preparedness, stakeholder engagement, or related topics that the working groups should be aware of.
We are happy to chat more about how this work could align with other advocacy efforts around NYC’s increasing heavy rainfall. If you have any questions, please reach out to rimam@rebuildbydesign.org.
If you know of other efforts or resources that highlight similar work, please feel free to forward this form, or let us know.
Please upload all resources and recommendations by May 15th.
Thank you!
