At The Arc of Nebraska, we believe in empowering people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to take control of their lives and exercise their right to vote. This year, we need your help to ensure that every voice is heard and that everyone in our community has access to the voting booth!
As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in mobilizing voters in a nonpartisan fashion. We are distributing packets of 20 brochures (or more) that you can use to encourage your friends, family, and community members to register to vote, get informed about their voting rights, and make their voices heard in upcoming elections. We also need volunteers to help make calls (we will provide a script and a list of disability advocates to call) Your support can make a huge difference in ensuring self-advocates have the freedom, authority, and support to participate fully in the democratic process.
