Lead-HER-Ship Mentoring Programme Registration
The information you provide us in this for will allow us to match you with a programme mentor/mentee.

This five-month programme runs from March to July. Participants are matched with a mentor who will meet with them once a month (by phone, video call or in person) to discuss their chosen area of life where they need leaderhsip guidance. All pogramme participants (both mentors and mentees) are also invited to attend five one-hour online webinars via Zoom which cover the following topics.

Module 1: Introduction to Mentoring (Tuesday 19 March 7:30pm via Zoom)

This initial module sets the scene for the programme, reveals the pairings, outlines the roles and responsibilities, expectations, set up of mentoring meetings and answering any questions from participants. All participants will receive a Resource Booklet PDF at this session.

Module 2: Vision and Goal-setting (Tuesday 16 April 7:30pm via Zoom)

You will learn to identify a vision and path that reflects your values and passions and will create a strategic map for personal growth and the accomplishment of that vision. This includes building self-awareness and understanding of your own preferences.

Module 3: Leadership Aspirations (Tuesday 21 May 7:30pm via Zoom)

Leadership is choice - and anyone, regardless of age, gender, race, or experience can lead and influence others. In this session you will define what leadership means to you and identify ways to lead yourself and others in the direction you desire.

Module 4: Empowered Boundaries (Tuesdsay 18 June 7:30pm via Zoom)

As women we are hard wired to care for others, and far too often our desire to care for others results in us choosing to put our needs last, which is like forgetting to fit your own oxygen mask before helping others. In this session we will explore different strategies to set (and keep) empowered boundaries.

Module 5: Networking (Tuesday 16 July 7:30pm via Zoom)

The ability to develop networks is critical and allows you to learn from others, develop support mechanisms and maintain perspective.  This session will consider how to develop effective networks and focus on quality rather than quantity in maintaining the right connections.

How many languages do you speak? Would you be willling to offer to translate or interpret? Or do you require assistance from an interpreter?
Which role would you like to sign up for? Mentor, Mentee or both?

The beauty and intention of this programme is that there is scope and capacity to participate in three different ways. Option one is to offer to mentor one (or maybe two) women in the programme. Option two, becoming a mentee, means that you are asking to be mentored. Option three is that you sign up to be both a Mentor and a Mentee.

For example, our Club President Fiona is looking for a mentor with experience in setting up and running a business and she also wants to offer to mentor someone based on her experience in professional development and leadership coaching which would be covered in the area of life called "vocation/work/education".

Which areas of life do you want advice and guidance on during the programme?

At the 2023 SIMNI International Women's Day event, we completed the 'wheel of life' activity where we gave ourselves a rating across eigth different areas of life in terms of how well we felt we are leading ourselves. Here is a link to the YouTube video that explains the activity https://youtu.be/Zx3iHwfLZuE. Your choice here is yet another way that we will aim to match you up with your mentor/mentee. There are no right or wrong answers and if you are not sure, we can talk this through with you on the Onboarding Zoom call.
Please select which area of life you wish to focus on in the programme (Note: you can choose more than one area)
Please provide us with a short explanation of what you are hoping to get out of your participation in the mentoring programme.
Do you give SI Moreton North Inc permission to share your email and phone number with another programme participant for the purpose of connecting you with your mentor/mentee?

Next Steps - What happens now?

Thank you for completing the form and registering to be part of this pilot programme. Registrations for the programme will close on Sunday 17 March. Following this we will conduct the matching process and connect you with your pairing during the Programme Onboarding Zoom call to be held on Tuesday 19 March at 7:30pm.

During the onboarding session, all mentors and mentees will be provided with information and resources to help make your experience as fun and supportive as possible. Following the onboarding, each pair will arrange their first catch up via phone or in person. We will then reconvene at the next webinar scheduled for Tuesday 16 April at 7:30pm via Zoom.
