6th Grade Registration 2024-2025 (For current 5th graders.)
Welcome to 6th Grade! Well, almost!

All rising 6th graders are pre-registered for Math, English, Science, Global Humanities and PE/Health.

In addition to your five core classes, you need TWO class periods to complete your schedule of seven classes.

Please carefully read the directions below how to select electives:

A fully submitted/completed registration form is due by Friday, January 26th at 5:00 PM. You may edit and resubmit your selections until that date. Responses to the form will NOT be collected after the due date of January 26th.

All sixth grade elective choices are full year options that are listed below.  The "electives rotation" class is a full year option where students will have a different class each quarter of the school year to sample a variety of arts courses.

***Students who select Full Year 1A courses for 6th grade will need to take the Full Year 1B course in 7th grade.***
1. Full Year Chinese 1A = (.5 HS Credit)
2. Full Year French 1A = (.5 HS Credit)
3. Full Year Spanish 1A = (.5 HS Credit)

***1.0 High School Credit (these world language courses are slightly faster in pace):***
1. Chinese 1 A/B = (1 HS Credit)
2. French 1 A/B = (1 HS Credit)
3. Spanish 1 A/B = (1 HS Credit)

1. Band 1 (Beginning Players)
2. Band 2 (Intermediate - for more advanced players)
3. Chorus 1 (Intermediate Chorus)
4. Orchestra 1 (Beginning Players)
5. Orchestra 2 (Intermediate - for more advanced players)

7. Electives Rotation: Four different classes; 1 per marking period; from six different options (Computer Applications, General Music, Awareness of Language and Cultures, Art 1, Technology and Engineering, Fitness for Life).
