WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF THIS PROGRAM?Participating on the Youth Council will train participants in leadership, facilitation, policy research, event planning and community organizing skills. Youth Council members will gain a better understanding of how City government works, how the Board of Supervisors operates, as well as neighborhood issues affecting District 7. There will be special opportunities to meet with City Department staff and community stakeholders to learn more about current issues and proposals in our City.
WHEN IS THIS APPLICATION DUE?The D7 Youth Council Application DUE DATE is Friday, September 7th, 2018.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN APPLYING?1. To apply, you must complete your contact information, demographics, 2018-2019 schedule, and respond to the short answer questions. 2. Once you have submitted your completed application, it will be reviewed and a staff person will contact you via email for an interview. 3. You will be notified by no later than Monday, September 10th,2018 for a one on one interview. You must be available for an interview and orientation to be considered for the program.
