"Up and running" is defined as: guiding you through replacing your current controller with what we believe is the best Ruida controller to match your current laser. The specific controller we recommend will vary with manufacturer, model and year. Typical conversion is approximately $1200. This cost is comprised of your purchase of the controller (approx. $500 on Amazon, $200 for the preprinted wire labels for your current controller and $500 for direct contact via telephone or video conference.) You will later need to purchase Lightburn which offers a FREE TRIAL for 30 days. Purchase Lightburn is currently $120. Again, YOU are the registered owner of Lightburn which will allow you Lightburn Support or to upgrade from the current 3 computers permitted or Lightburn upgrades.
We guide you through the entire process which begins by researching your machine and recommending what we believe is the best controller for you, for your machine and for your intended use of the laser. We share this information with you FREE of charge.
IMPORTANT!!!! FS Laser builds a very powerful machine! Once you upgrade the controller to a Ruida you will Never need to contact FS Laser. You will be using state of the art Lightburn with a state of the art controller. Should you need help you can contact us! After conversion is complete, we can offer support at a reasonable rate.

IMPORTANT: At this time, we may not be familiar enough with your machine to complete this process. Should that be the case we will advise you.
Phases in the process.
Phase 1 - Assessment - NO CHARGE
1.1- You complete/submit the form
1.2- We review your information to see if we can help you get your laser working for your intended purpose, and inform you of our assessment.
1.3- We direct you to purchase the specific controller. Typically, your purchase is on AMAZON and will be approx. $500. We recommend that you purchase the controller so that if you become overwhelmed or there is a problem with the controller YOU are under warranty! You can return it to Amazon for a full refund.
1.4- We provide you with documents and videos available that may assist you.
Phase 2 - Wiring the new controller
Should you wish that we get involved, we advise you of the initial payment, typically $300 via PayPal to Premier Display Inc.
2.1- We provide you with labels for each wire on your current controller. Typically, all wires are on barrel identifiers but these often rotate and are hard to read. Labels also provide security should the barrel identifier fall off and should a wire become disconnected.
2.2- We provide you a self-stick for your new controller with identical markings to your current controller.
Then you can swap wire for wire, in predetermined groups. (i.e., Group A will be the X, Y and Z axis; then Group B, etc.)
2.3- We provide you with instructions on which group of wires should be swapped first, second etc., as well as any additional wires necessary (i.e., an additional power wire).
2.4- We provide you with a label for your controller with matching ID to the wires on your current controller.
TEST- We test it by powering on the laser to see that the display operates.
Phase 3 - Programing your laser with our consultant-
Important - At this time your wired controller knows NOTHING about your laser.
Should you wish to proceed we ask for a payment of $400 via Paypal.
With a scheduled telephone or video conference we guide you through settings. We may provide initial setting to get you started. You will need to install
Lightburn trial. It is Free for 30 days. Later, when the laser is up, you have the option to make a purchase. The link above allows downloads specific to your operating system. NOTE Your
Ruida controller also includes RD Works program which you may find useful.
During Phase 3 together your laser will be able to find Home, Set an Origin for a file, calibration of the motors for accuracy in movement and direction; Frame your job; Import files into Lightburn or create simple files with Lightburn (vectors and bitmaps), send files to the controller, use the new controller to frame and run your job;
operate the controller display.
Phase 3 concludes when you run a Ramp Test to manually set your focus (most accurate) and sample burn a cut file which we provide.
IMPORTANT!
You are responsible for the safety in all operations of your laser during conversion. Chiller, air assist (compressor) and exhaust should always be on!!!!! Work in a well-ventilated area! Wear eye protection!
