Minimum Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Basic reading and writing comprehension in English
  • A valid form of ID and authorization to work in the USA
  • Stable housing (this can include shelter or transitional housing)
  • Phone and internet access
  • Cannot be a registered sex offender
After you submit an application, we will contact you by phone to schedule an in-person interview. Spots are limited and the application process is competitive. Successful applicants will prepare for an in-person interview with the help of a job coach or case manager. We will ask questions to learn more about your past work history, skills and strengths and career goals.

Our training program is 12 consecutive weeks and takes place across our two locations:

Production: 2740 SE Powell Blvd #11, Portland, OR 97202

Cafe: 7400 NE Glisan St, Portland, OR 97213

Tier 1 @ Production
(Weeks 1 - 4) Mon - Thurs from 9:00am - 12:00pm

Tier 2 @ Cafe 
(Weeks 5 - 8) Mon - Thurs from 9:00am - 12:00pm

Tier 3 @ Cafe or Production 
(Weeks 9 - 12) 2 days/week in the morning

Working in a kitchen or restaurant environment involves physical demands that may include standing for extended periods, walking, bending, reaching, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs), and working in hot and humid conditions.
