2023 SAYES REGISTRATION    
Students will be invited to participate in the Systems Academy for Young Engineers and Scientists (SAYES) Enrichment Program this summer. The summer academy is for current 3rd- 5th grade students, and is designed to enhance their math, science, and critical thinking skills.
Dates: June 7-8, 12-15, 20-22, and 26-28, 8:15am - 2:15pm.  THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES ON FRIDAYS.  JUNE 19th is a National Holiday. Breakfast will start serving at 7:30 and Lunch will be served at 11:30.

Program Description and Information:
Each day students will work through 4 rotations: 
  • Coding and programing - Ozobots, Vex 123, VEX Go
  • Robotics - NXT, EV3 and Spike Prime
  • Engineering - Designing and Build Projects 
  • CAD/3D Printing - creating digital designs with TinkerCAD and taking their designs home with 3D printers.  
  • Field trip to Boeing Center at Tech Port 
  • Concluding with a Showcase for parents

I grant permission to SWISD and SAYES Academy to make videotapes, photographs, and/or sound recordings, of my child for educational purposes. I also understand that these videotapes, photographs, and/or sound recordings may be used on the SWISD web site and local newspapers.  Minors in photos and/or videos will be identified by first name and/or school only. Photos and/or video footage will remain the property of SWISD and the Systems Academy for Young Engineers and Scientists (SAYES).
