Belwin - Evening on the Prairie
Thursday, June 20, 6:30-8pm - Belwin ELC Classroom - 1553 Stagecoach Trail S., Afton

Landowners across the county are transforming old farm fields and three-acre lawns into vibrant prairies that provide habitat for wildlife and protect our water. Learn how you can do it too.

During this workshop, landscape restoration staff from Belwin will share their experience with restoring and managing prairie on the Conservancy's land in Afton. Washington Conservation District will also talk about resources and assistance available to help private landowners in Washington County with prairies and other conservation projects.
- Is a prairie is right for you?
- How do you get started?
- Who can you hire to help do the work?
- What about maintenance?
- How long will it take and how much will it cost?
- Are there grants available?

This workshop will include both an indoor classroom component and an outdoor tour of the Belwin prairie.
