An American Friendship Partner is a couple or person who wants to be a friend to one or more international students.  Most often they are no longer in school and are out working.  Our hope is that this friendship will last for many years and help make your time in America to be the best it can be.  We hope you will find a family away from family through this friendship!  

We ask both of you to be in contact weekly by phone, text, email, or social media and to meet together at least twice a month.  

Your Friendship Partner is not allowed to get involved with any financial, legal, or immigration matters.  Please do not ask them for help with a loan or to cosign anything for you.

Thank you for signing up for a Friendship Partner!  It will be a great benefit to you, but we know that the Americans receive so much from the friendships that they have with international students and scholars.
