Join the e-consultation on the “Global Action Programme on Food Security and Nutrition in Small Island Developing States (GAP)".
The Third International Conference on Small Island Developing States adopted the Small Island Developing States Accelerated Modalities of Action (S.A.M.O.A. Pathway) that, in its paragraph 61, invites the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to facilitate the development of an action programme to address food and nutrition challenges faced by SIDS.
The GAP will provide a framework to support the implementation of strategic and accelerated action at all levels to advance food security and improve nutrition in SIDS, assisting their efforts to reach the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, aligning existing strategies and plans and identifying and filling gaps.
