Eucharistic Minister for weekend masses (You may choose the one Mass you normally attend or be available to move around among the masses)
Eucharistic Minister to the homebound. (Please Note: All those who distribute the Eucharist, even if you simply bring Holy Communion to one person homebound, must be formally enrolled in this ministry. We are required to send the updated list of all Eucharistic Ministers to the Bishop for approval every other year.)
Liturgical Reader (Lector) for weekend masses (Choose the one Mass you normally attend or be available to move among the masses.)
Member of the Adult Choir. The choir sings for the 9:30 Mass and for special events like Christmas and Holy Week/ Easter services. There is one rehearsal a week
Instrumentalist: organist, pianist, violinist, horn, etc.
Member of the Resurrection Choir for funerals (No rehearsal. This choir sings whenever there is a funeral)
Adult server for funerals and other special services
Usher (You can choose the Mass you are more likely to attend or be open to move around. The schedule is for one month at a time.)
Counter for Sunday collections (Monday mornings 8:30-10:30 a.m. You would be part of a team as a rule serving every other month)
Catechist or Catechist in training. Share your faith with our young using a book and curriculum guide or as a beginner accompany one the regular catechists as an aide in order to learn how to be a catechist. Sundays 10:40-11:20 a.m. (requires background check and completing on-line Protecting Youth Course)
Children's Liturgy of the Word. Assist our youngest members (pre-school through grade 3) in hearing and understanding the Scriptures during the Liturgy of the Word at the 9:30 a.m. Mass. (requires background check and completing on-line Protecting Youth Course)
Athletic Association. We are always looking for adults to coach and assist in coaching one of the many athletic programs for our young. Our Athletic Director can help you find the right match. (requires background check and completing on-line Protecting Youth Course)
The "Holy Ground" Workers. These people take care of our flower beds and bushes etc. They also assure that our inside plants are watered and pruned and help with the seasonal decorations in the church.
The "Four R's" Group (Religion, Reading, "w" riting, and "a"rithmatic group). These people give one hour a week (or some even more) to help our children, one on one, in the primary or intermediate grades with basic skills or give one hour after school hours to monitor a silent study/homework room as part of the extended day program. (requires background check and completing on-line Protecting Youth Course)
Helper for the Lenten Fish Fry. The Fridays of Lent. All kinds of work needed here.
