The Hett Arts Access Program is made possible through the generous support of Ameren Illinois. This grant-funded program helps remove financial barriers by providing transportation and admission assistance so Illinois students can experience live performing arts at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts.
Funding is available to cover:
- Transportation to and from the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts
- Admission to an eligible student matinee performance
To be eligible, schools must:
- Be located in Illinois.
- Be within a 50-mile radius of McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois.
- Attend one of the designated Hett Arts Access Program performances.
Because funding is limited, priority will be given to schools that demonstrate that financial assistance is necessary for their students to participate. Factors considered may include transportation costs, school funding limitations, Title I status, and other circumstances that create barriers to attendance.
