Camp Liberty 2024 Deer Hunting Application
Camp Liberty Inc. is providing the opportunity for four Active-Duty Service Members or Veterans to participate in each of our 2024 Deer Hunting programs.  Youth hunters accompanied by a Veteran or Active-Duty family member are also eligible for the Liberty and Firearms Deer Season hunts.  Participants will have guided access to 138 acres of prime deer habitat, be guests in the Darlene Soave Lodge, and be treated to food, beverages, and fellowship.  Participants are selected by a random drawing.  Deadlines for applications are:

Liberty Hunt – September 13 – 15 - Open to disabled Veterans and youth hunters mentored by a family member who is a Veteran or actively serving. – The application deadline is August 23.

Independence Hunt – October 19 – 22 - Open to disabled veterans. The application deadline is September 15.

Firearms Deer Season – November 20 to 24 - Open to active duty, Veterans, and youth hunters accompanied by a family member who is a Veteran or is actively serving.  The application deadline is September 15.

December Deer Hunt  – December 11 to 14 - Open to active duty and veterans.  (Muzzleloaders, shotguns, slug guns, and straight-wall cartridge rifles may be used.)  The application deadline is September 15.

The State of Michigan has determined that eligibility for the Liberty and Independence Hunts require that you have been determined to be disabled based on the following definition:  "Have you been determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs to be permanently and totally disabled as a result of military service and entitled to benefits at the 100% rate for disabilities, or have you been rated by the VA as individually unemployable?  (You will be asked to provide proof if selected for the Liberty or Independence Hunts.)  Do you meet this definition to be qualified for a disabled hunt? *
I have a youth hunter that is a family member who I will mentor if selected for the Liberty or Firearms Deer Hunt.
