Recommendations for NAMLE Board of Directors (2018)
The NAMLE Board of Directors is regularly seeking new candidates to join the Board who are passionate about media literacy education from diverse perspectives. This is an opportunity to make a contribution to the state of Media Literacy Education. Our board has set an ambitious strategy for NAMLE to be a leading voice, working to convene many to set a national agenda and be a resource to all members.
NAMLE By-Laws require a minimum of 15 Board members with the flexibility to grow to 20. We review candidates throughout the year and bring new board members on in January and June of each year starting with a board orientation where they learn about the operation and governance of NAMLE and get up to speed on our current goals and objectives.
In developing a national Board of Directors, NAMLE wants to ensure we have a diverse representation of the United States, a balanced approach to expertise, and a commitment from the candidate to contribute and serve.
