The ArtCan Open 2019
The Framers Gallery, London 11 - 16 November 2019
Open Submission Exhibition opportunity for all contemporary artists not formally represented by a gallery.
ArtCan is pleased to announce the inaugural ArtCan Open exhibition launching in November 2019.
Following the success of the annual ‘What Is The Point?’ exhibitions ArtCan are developing the format to enable wider engagement across all art mediums.
2019 Theme: Counter | Balance
'To counterbalance means to balance something with something else that has an equal but opposite effect. This exhibition intends to be an opportunity to display the endless ways each of us explores the opposites within ourselves. It’s about feeling intensely, one way or the other.'

Colours, Contrast, Impactful

Curated by Antonella Acerra:
A former archaeologist and avid museum goer with an MA in Curating, always on the lookout for new challenges. Archive lover with a strong interest for the work that goes on behind the scenes.

Note: ArtCan are delighted to again have the support of GreatArt who will be offering a prize of £500 gift vouchers to the artist who responds to the theme in the most authentic way.
The lucky artist will be chosen by ArtCan Founder Kate Enters and ArtCan Trustee and Londonist Art Critic Tabish Khan.
