It Happens Here READER Form
It Happens Here is an anti-sexual violence storytelling event intended to hold space for survivors’ experiences to be held, heard, and believed. Survivors of any form of sexual violence can anonymously submit their stories which will be read at the event. In hosting this event, we aim to, as a community, acknowledge and hold the harm that has happened and continues to happen on this campus, specifically centering survivors’ voices and experiences.
This year, we hope to continue the goal of holding space for survivors’ voices and experiences, while also working to make the event better represent the experiences and needs of this campus now.
Please use this form if you are interested in being a READER at the event, which will take place on April 28th from 8-9pm. Please note that all readers must arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the event, at 7:30pm.
Also note that this form does not commit you to being a reader, but just indicates interest, and that at any point if you are uncomfortable, you can decline to read a particular story or at all. We will follow up to confirm and with more details.
