Welcome to the Family Justice Brigade! Let's put our faith into action and join other families to help feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and visit the sick and lonely.
Past events have been: writing letters to orphans in Uganda, packaging soaps for the Franciscan Peacemakers, and delivering Thanksgiving meals to families in Milwaukee.
We have two service opportunities this Advent! Join us Saturday, December 14 at 9:00AM-10:30AM at the Old St. Mary Parish Center to help deliver holiday plants to the senior residents at St. Ann's Rest Home. We are first meeting at the Old St. Mary Parish Center at 9:00AM to pick up the plants and get driving directions. This can be a fun tradition for your family. It is so rewarding to be able to bring joy and holiday cheer to the St. Anne residents. If families are interested, we may even sing a few Christmas carols with the residents. :)
We are also helping to sort the Advent Giving Tree donations on December 15 from 12:30-1:30PM at the Old St. Mary Parish Center. If your child loves to open presents and sort things, this is the perfect activity for your family. It is our third year helping with this and it is always a great time. All ages are welcome for both events.
Please complete the registration form below to RSVP for the upcoming events or to get more information on future FJB events.
Feel free to invite friends and neighbors to FJB! We are open to families of all faith backgrounds - we all can make a difference. As Pope Paul VI said, "If you want peace, work for justice." I look forward to helping your family work towards a more just and peaceful city for everyone.
