Many of us might have noticed a number of break-in, car stolen crime incidents occurred in our community in past months/years This trend has been an increasing concern to our community.
As one of the most effective approach for crime prevention, Neighborhood Watch is being proposed. The Neighborhood Watch program can help us to provide a sense of security by encouraging neighbors to keep an eye on each other's property and reporting suspicious activity. The program also helps to co-ordinate the efforts of the police and the community in tracking down criminals. The program requires a certain number of watcher, coordinator and block-captain, once we receive enough participants, York Regional Police will assist us in starting a Neighborhood Watch Program in our area.
