Affinity Group Development Interest Form
In line with WIT's values of creating community and fostering diversity within our programming, WIT is interested in facilitating the development of affinity groups for various communities within the improv community. These affinity groups may take a variety of shapes and forms, and could be for various kinds of communities.  In other improv communities nationally, we're aware of affinity groups for: Black improvisers, LGBTQ+ improvisers, Asian-American improvisers, neurodiverse improvisers, older improvisers, etc.

WIT doesn't aspire to run or operate these groups. Rather, we hope to cultivate them to become self-sufficient and support their growth by sharing WIT's resources however possible. Ways in which WIT could support the growth of these groups includes hosting jams for these communities, publicizing the creation of these groups to our stakeholders (students and performers), setting up email groups, and more.

Are you interested in cultivating an affinity group of improvisers who share a personal or cultural identity? Would you be willing to play a leadership role in facilitating its creation? We're doing exploratory outreach to see which communities may have significant interest and to find individuals to steward these groups.
