Clean Water Clean-Up Registration
This fall's clean-up event will look a little different than usual to give volunteers more flexibility and to reduce the number of people present at the same time. Volunteers can come anytime over the weekend of Friday, Oct 23 - Sunday, Oct 25 (for buckthorn) and Oct 30-Nov 1 (for leaf raking).
Volunteers can choose to rake leaves at Sand Point Beach Park (14349 Crest Ave NE, Prior Lake, MN), remove buckthorn at Jeffers Pond (Jeffers Parkway, Prior Lake, MN) or do both!
As usual, volunteers should *bring their own work gloves, rakes and loppers/hand saws/etc* for buckthorn removal and/or leaf raking to the event. Volunteers can also bring chainsaws if they are comfortable using them.
We will send out more detailed volunteer instructions before the event. We will still do a prize drawing for volunteers and mail out prizes to drawing winners.
To reduce the spread of the coronavirus we remind volunteers to maintain social distancing from people not in your household. Wearing a mask is recommended if you are not able to maintain a 6 foot distance between people from outside your household group. Participation in this event is voluntary and done at your own risk.
