The Student Educational Policies Committee (SEPC) is a student-run group focusing on matters of academic policy within the Bennington education. Each discipline representative has the freedom to work in collaboration with the Dean’s Office, faculty, and other student groups on topics they feel are important and need attention.
A discipline representative position lasts one year, and all discipline representatives must re-run at the end of spring term (if they choose to stay on the full SEPC body). For any discipline position elected in this half of the term, you must be
at least in your third term for Spring 2023 and in good academic standing. If you want to apply for more than one discipline, please answer discipline-specific questions with reference to each discipline.
You can be studying remotely and still be an SEPC representative.
Please be aware that your answers will be shared with the full student body when they vote to elect new representatives.
If you have questions, please email SEPC (
sepc@bennington.edu).
