NCI Imaging Data Commons (IDC) is a cloud-based repository of publicly available cancer imaging data co-located with the analysis and exploration tools and resources. The purpose of the workshop is to:
* introduce the attendees to IDC, its mission, current status and future plans for development
* develop basic understanding of the organization of data in IDC, and its main components and capabilities that support access to the data
* through hands-on exercises using Google Colab notebook(s), demonstrate how data from IDC can be queried, visualized, downloaded, and how open source image analysis tools can be applied to IDC data

Prerequisites:
* computer with Chrome browser installed
* Google account (see instructions for creating one here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/27441?hl=en)

* ~2 hours total
* slide presentation (~20 min)
* hands-on exercises and demonstrations (~1-1.5 hours)
