Join the Accord Research Alliance for a webinar on July 24 at 12pm EDT with Dr. Olivia Wilkinson, Director of Research at the Joint Learning Initiative on Faith and Local Communities (JLI).
Olivia will dive deeper into the current state of the evidence in religion and development, focusing on a review of what information JLI has gathered so far, what main findings can be summarized from their research, and discussing some of the largest thematic and methodological gaps in the religion and development research.
This webinar will build upon the keynote presentation from Jean Duff, JLI President, at last year’s ARA Intensive. It will also help set the stage for Olivia’s keynote at this year’s Intensive, which will be on “What kind of evidence should we be gathering on the role of faith?”
Olivia is a sociologist, with a Ph.D. and Master's in humanitarian action from Trinity College Dublin and Université catholique de Louvain (Network on Humanitarian Action - NOHA) respectively and an undergraduate degree in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Cambridge.
The JLI is an international collaboration across academia, practice, and policy that convenes interested members on the evidence for the role of religion in humanitarian and development work. For more background on JLI, make sure and check out ARA’s latest podcast with Stacy Nam, JLI Senior Program and Knowledge Manager.
The log in information for this webinar will be sent out on July 23rd, at which point this form will close.
