We have been working with our Board of Education and  Alliance Therapy for Dogs to incorporate a Therapy Dog program at BRMS.  We have gotten all of the necessary approvals and are going to pilot this program for a few days over the last month of school with the hopes of creating a more consistent schedule for the 2024-2025 school year.  With the mission to foster the social and emotional well-being of students and staff, we are proud to partner with the Alliance of Therapy Dogs for the therapy dog program initiative. There have been many proven positive physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and mental health benefits of pet therapy, and we believe that this unique and therapeutic resource will greatly benefit the school community.   

For the past 3 years, Patron has been working diligently as a therapy dog under the supervision of his handler of Alliance Therapy for Dogs in various schools in Burlington County.  Over the next month or so, Patron and his handler will visit BRMS for special events and participate in activities with students and staff.  They will also visit classrooms to see our students and staff.

If for any reason you would like to opt your child out and not participate in the therapy dog program, please complete and submit the form linked below. If your student is opted out of the program we will make sure that if Patron visits any of their classes that they will not be impacted.
