For many years, the Mary Crapo building has been a part of our school district community. Over the years, the district has spent significant funds to keep the building safe and operational. We are now faced again with significant ongoing expenses to keep the building operational. Changing codes and requirements and normal wear and tear on a building as old as this are becoming a significant financial investment.
Currently, Mary Crapo is used for our Child Development Center and Swartz Creek Academy. These two programs are vital to our district and our community. Whatever happens with Mary Crapo, we will continue to run these programs at a high level as the physical location they meet will not impact the service we offer.
At this point we are seeking your input to assist the board with determining the best course of action for the building. We appreciate you offering your input as we greatly value feedback from our community and families.
