Teaching Skills: Creating a Positive, Productive Learning Environment
How can you enhance “significant learning” in your course? How can we develop curriculum to enhance the learning experience, make teaching more learner focused, and create more authentic assessments? At the end of this interactive workshop, attendees will be able to:

- Define learning-centered teaching
- Apply learning-centered teaching to writing goals and objectives
- Develop learning activities that reflect the goals and objectives
- List and discuss assessment ideas (authentic tasks) that correspond to learning-centered activities
