UPDATED Reopening Schools Survey 7/31/20
Please disregard prior surveys you may have responded to as they are no longer valid.

As stated in the Department of Education Memo from Friday, July 24th, families now have the option to select full time remote learning for their child in the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. Students participating in all-remote instruction should receive the same quality of instruction that is provided to any other student. In addition, full time remote programs must adhere to the same policies and regulations that in-person and hybrid programs follow regarding student attendance and the length of the school day.

***IMPORTANT*** This form will be used to choose which model your child will participate in this Fall. Please complete a separate form for each child you have in the district. All families must complete this survey by Friday, August 7th. Please be aware our website address and emails have changed for the district.

All information is now available at www.htsdnj.org. The HTSD Reopening Plan and additional information will be posted on our website the morning of Tuesday, August 4th, for your review and to assist in your decision making.

Fully Remote Details
If you choose to have your student taught completely remote they must remain in remote learning for the entire first Trimester (Grades PreK-5) or Marking Period (Grades 6-12). If you would like to bring your student back after selecting the fully remote option you must put the request in writing at least 2 weeks prior to the second Marking Period or Trimester.

Students will receive an education through technology while home. They will participate in a schedule similar to a regular school day and will have direct instruction from teachers during the day.
Hybrid Details
Students will be broken up into 3 cohorts of learners. One cohort will be in person while the other two are learning virtually at home each day. Please see the Reopening Webpage on the district website here for more details: https://www.htsdnj.org/domain/4142
Home Schooling
Homeschooling is when a parent/guardian chooses to disenroll their child(ren) from the school district. It then becomes the full responsibility of the parent/guardian to provide the instruction and select/purchase educational materials
