Insessional courses application form Block 4 Courses start w/o February 18th 2019
As an International student you are eligible to apply to any In-sessoinal course or tutorial. If you have an In-sessional requirement or recommendation you should generally apply for that course first if possible. You may choose more than one course, but will likely be only allocated one course at at time.

You are advised not to apply until you know your academic timetable in full. The deadline for applications is 6th February. Courses start from week 6 of term 2 and are 5 weeks long until the end of term 2.

Courses, apart from 1-1 tutorials, involve small classrooms of 10-15 students.

(Re 1-1 tutorials: The meaning of 'tutorial' here is not the same as your regular SOAS academic tutorial but a 30 minute 1-1 session with an English teacher over 5 weeks.)

Those with recommendations or requirements are prioritised; otherwise applications work on a first- come- first- served basis.

There are 5 Insessional Blocks per year. This is Block 4 and this will be the last chance this academic year to do most courses. In Block 5 (term 3) we provide 1-1 tutorials and Dissertation writing only.

Please note that if you are offered a place on a course and accept it, you are making a commitment to attend all sessions of this course. There is often a high demand for places so taking a place and not attending will deprive other students of a place.

From 17th December I will start to put applicants on courses and let you know by e-mail if your application has been successful or not. You may not hear from me immediately, but I will be in touch before 18th February.
