The Friends of St. Thomas Public Library cannot accept student volunteers at this time. In accordance with Policy/Program Memorandum 124 (July 2023) of the Ontario Ministry of Education, volunteer activities that involve banking, or handling of money (securities) are ineligible for credit for volunteer hours. Our current volunteer position would involve this type of activities and therefore the Friends cannot accept student volunteers at this time.
