This was shared by a former student who was inspired to be a teacher:
"I am a former student of Spokane Junior Academy which used to be located on Cleveland Avenue. I attended during the 1950's and then went on to UCA for my senior year-- graduating in 1959. After attending WWC, I have spent 50 years in education mostly at the secondary level. I just want to thank those who support education in any manner. Except for those who are directly involved, you probably have no idea of how busy a teacher is. Their work has only begun when they complete one day in the classroom. They have a myriad of things to do in order to prepare for the next day. They will often work late into the night and get up early the next morning to make the necessary preparations.
So, blessings on those who willingly give of your time, energy and financial resources in support of the teachers and most importantly in support of student learning.
I am now retired and living in Berrien Springs, MI. Keep up the good work until Jesus returns."
