JOB DESCRIPTION:
- You will work in a collective of authors to develop original content written in short story format.  You will world-building within a shared fictional  universe.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates compelling, innovative, entertaining short stories
- Selects subject or theme for writing project based on personal interest
- Develops factors, such as theme, plot, characterization, action, and dialogue
- Work with editors to revise and rewrite sections
- Organizes material for the project, outlines, and writes synopsis


WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Remote/ Work From Home/Internet Accessible
- Must be able to work well under creative pressure and against stringent deadlines
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English or writing-related field
- Strong interest in Science Fiction and Fantasy
- Consistently produces engaging work
- Strong grasp of proper sentence structure
- Ability to write in a variety of tones
- Deadline-driven
- Creative and dedicated
 
Work is commission base from the shortlisted short stories published in Speculative Fiction Small Presses and Magazines. All are welcome to apply.

Low-income, first-generation, LGBTQ+, and minority writers are encouraged to submit an application.
