MUSIC 0100: Fundamentals Exemption Exam
Answer all 15 of the following questions. A passing grade on this exam is 80% or higher (a minimum of 12 correct answers out of 15). Your score on this exam will be reported to Dr. Rice and Prof. Zahab, advisors for the Music Department, as well as to the Undergraduate Records office in Thackeray Hall.

Please remember that a minimum grade of 80% on this exam or a minimum grade of B- in MUSIC 0100 is required in order to declare a Music Major or Music Minor. Successful completion of this exam or MUSIC 0100 is also required as a prerequisite for MUSIC 0411: Theory 1 and MUSIC 0412: Musicianship 1. *You will need to contact Dr. Rice (srice1@pitt.edu) or Prof. Zahab (rzahab@pitt.edu) to request a permission number to enroll in MUSIC 0411 or MUSIC 0412.
