In order to participate in the ALA "Hello Latvia" tour, each participant must be or become a member of the American Latvian Association for the year of 2024.

The American Latvian Association is a central organization that represents and unites around 90,000 + people of Latvian descent in the United States.

ALA supports:

cultural activities and facilitates cooperation within the Latvian American community,
promots the study of Latvian language, history and culture,
ensures the availability of Latvian schools, books and teaching materials,
assists newly arrived immigrants with information about the U.S.,
provides humanitarian aid to people in Latvia,
seeks to facilitate the peaceful and democratic development of Latvia by promoting understanding and support for Latvia through informational efforts in the U.S.

ALA membership levels:
Annual - $30 (per year)
Lifetime - $300 (one-time payment)
Gold Lifetime - $800 (one-time payment)
Amber Lifetime - $2000 (one-time payment)
Namejs Lifetime - $5000 (one-time payment)
