GPSN-Mentorship Sign up
The aim of the GPSN mentorship program is to complement current academically-focused peer mentorship programs by providing a safe, reliable, and non-judgemental support network for students in Faculty of Medicine Graduate Programs to discuss their challenges that stem beyond the sphere of academic and career goals.

The role of the mentor is to provide a welcoming environment for their mentee to discuss mental health, wellness, and equity and inclusion issues, including navigating student life and managing interactions with administration/peers within their own departments. In doing so, mentors will offer a safe(r) space for students to find support and engage in dialogue. The mentor is not expected to act as a counselor/therapist, but rather can potentially serve as an intermediary step towards accessing professional/community resources.

If you are interested in acting as a mentor for the program, please fill out the form below. Mentors will be assigned to mentees on a rolling basis, and as a mentor, you will be matched with a mentee as needed, throughout the next year. Mentors will be required to attend training on establishing boundaries, as well as EDI (equity, diversity, and inclusivity) in early 2022.
