2024- 2025 7th Grade Elective Selection Form
Welcome incoming 7th grade Kelly Park School students!  This is your Elective and Course Request form for the 2024-2025 school year.  Electives listed on this form are not guaranteed to be offered. Your school counselor will strive to honor your requests.

For the 2024-2025 school year, students will be placed in advanced, standard, and/or high school level classes by their counselor based on a variety of data provided by Orange County Public Schools.  Some of these data points include two-year previous FAST performance, middle school GPA, and academic history. Any student that scores a Level 1 or 2 on the FAST Reading and/or Math may be scheduled in a yearlong literacy course and/or Intensive Math class in place of an elective.

I understand this is an elective request and that elective options may change. This is not a guarantee of what electives I will be placed in for next year.  Final elective options will be based on student enrollment, teacher certification and student interest. **FAST scores, low grades and the possible need for Reading/Math intervention may affect how many electives my schedule will allow.** *
RANK your choices for electives in order of preference, #1 being your FIRST choice and #4 being your LAST choice. Do not choose the same elective twice, this will only limit options. If you do not choose electives, your counselor will choose for you based on course availability. Although every effort will be made to meet the student’s preferences, electives are not guaranteed. Final elective options will be based on student enrollment, teacher certification and student interest. Physical Education is a standard elective for all students unless a student has a PE waiver.  Please note FAST scores, low grades and the possible need for reading/math intervention may affect how many electives your schedule will allow.*Please choose wisely.
