Join us for an in-person visit with researchers from the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University. This female-led research team leads the McMaster Monitoring My Mobility (MacM3/MM3) Study, which focuses on helping older adults age in place by monitoring mobility over time and developing interventions that support independence.
During this interactive session, you will:
- Learn about aging, mobility, exercise, and wearable sensor technology
- Try hands-on activities with mobility sensors
- Design your ideal smartwatch and explore how technology supports health
- Visit a biobank to learn how biological samples are stored (cryobanking)
- Meet women working in research as students, trainees, and scientists
