Business and Arts South Africa (BASA) is launching the second iteration of its successful Scale-Up programme, in partnership with Rand Merchant Bank. The Scale-Up programme aims to connect creative practitioners and cultural organisations to interrogate the state of the sector, and create a dynamic networking space to share ideas and strategies to increase access, create value and cultivate agency.
Through a series of webinars, site visits, events, online engagement and workshops from May to September 2019, the Scale-Up programme will encourage collaboration, connection and co-creation towards a more meaningful engagement in the sector.
Who should apply?• Individual creative practitioners between 25 to 40 years old.• Creative/cultural organisations working with people between 25 to 40 years old. • Applicants (both individual and organisations) must have been practicing for a minimum of 3 years, and live and/or work in Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town and Durban.
Selected participants are expected to attend all programme activities, or appoint relevant organisational representatives to take part. Each workshop will be approximately one to two full days, but will be presented in clusters over the period between May and September 2019.
The most committed individuals and organisations will have an opportunity to pitch for a grant and mentorship at the end of the programme.
Applications close on 26 April 2019!
