Registration for 2018 Botball Robotics Training Camp at NASA

The 2018 Botball Robotics Training Camp is a free, four-session training camp open to all students 7th Grade and above who want to learn to the basics of building and programming robots. No prior coding and building experience is necessary. The camp will be led by senior members of the Los Altos Community Botball Teams, which have won myriad of state and international awards, including:
• 1st Place Seeding Award, Botball International Tournament, 2017
• 3rd Place Overall Championship Award, Botball International Tournament, 2017
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Overall Awards, NorCal Botball Tournament, 2016
• 2nd Place Overall Championship Award, Botball International Tournament, 2015
• 1st Place Overall Championship Award, Botball International Tournament, 2012

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Middle and high school students (7th Grade and above) interested in learning coding and robotics. No prior coding or robotics experience required.
TIME: 4 Friday evening sessions: 7:00-9:30 PM, Jan. 5th- 26th, 2018
PLACE: Ballroom, Bldg. 3, NASA Ames Conference Center, 500 Severyns, NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA 94035
CURRICULUM: This program utilizes the proven introductory tutorial curriculum used to train new members of the Los Altos Community Teams in the past many years. Thoroughly updated this summer, it covers:
• 1/5 – Programming the robots in KISS C
• 1/12 – Servos, Variables, If, Else, and While
• 1/19 – Programming, Functions, Libraries
• 1/26 – Using the iCreate, more sensors, Drive Library
